I ordered some California Poppy seeds. I want to plant them in the big tin bucket I got to put one of the Shepherd's hooks in. Someone offered me sand to fill part of it (though I don't know when I'm going to get it) and now I need some dirt. I also need to get an awl to poke some holes in the bottom of the bucket for drainage. Still slow but sure, things are coming along...

That sounds like it will be gorgeous. You could take a hammer and a nail to the bucket to make holes with.

Those are the little orange ones, right? My mother had them growing in the side yard of the Elora house. They're very delicate.
