A gold star morning

I need a gold star plastered on my forehead. Or maybe my hubby needs two gold stars! We grocery shopped in a huge store so that was exercise right there. Then we dropped off more goodies at the Good Will. Then we stopped at a local park that is really for baseball games and such. There are soft tracks ready for folks to walk on. Boring but it gets the job done. Hubby had ahold of Sally's leash and I had Rufus. The soft track was easy for hubby to follow so he headed out at his own pace. Rufus and I took up the rear. That track was at least a quarter mile long. Felt longer. It's embarrassing how hard it was for me to walk that much. I would stop and see hubby way in front. Rufus was patient and did not yank on me. So hubby couldn't hear me if I yelled that I needed to turn around. Slowly I propelled forward. Longest I've walked in some time. Plus the store walking. Once we got home Rufus and I walked up to turn the water on at the spigot then I walked around, feeding birds and watering birds. Its a hot, sunny day. I am ready for my sit down!

All tracks are 1/4 mile long. Are you out of shape or was it because of your legs and back? Not good.

@DianneN Both. I should go get examined but I don't do well as a science experiment.

@sallypup You should get examined. Only you are responsible for your health.

I can only walk about 50 feet at a time anymore. I'm jealous! It's good that you and Rufus got some exercise.

Why did it take you so long to walk that...was it the heat? You are used to physical work. I am surprised honestly.

@snowy22315 I have a cruddy back. Sciatica has been rather awful since I've not been going to water aerobics.

The only places to walk around in this area is a mall, we don't have enough trees for shade to make it safe to walk outdoors.

@rebelann I'm waiting for you to tell me about the craters of the moon next. The grass near the track had recently been watered so I had Rufus walk on it sometimes.

The heat dont help any. You need to work up to what you can do. Glad Rufus was patient.
