Save or spend....???

I always have this discussion with my dad, about saving money but to be honest I am not one good saver. Not that I am shopaholic, but just usually I am bad at savings.... How are you with savings....??? Could you suggest some ways to do savings....

I have a separate account which I force myself to put in a certain amount every month and I won't touch it.

@Aansh13 Start with small amount. It doesn't matter. So long as you don't touch it, it will grow.

I save decently I guess. One can avoid spending on items you don't really need
