I complain a lot but I actually do love nursing. But sometimes I feel like I've had enough. Nurses deal with poo, urine, vomit, and nakedness a lot. But what I can't tolerate is when patients verbally and physically abuse us. A patient just threw a really big orange at me last night and the other night same patient spat all her tablets to my face. I know I should take it personally but it does hurt me emotionally and physically. The worst part is this patient actually knew what she was doing and is bragging about it. We had to sedate her last night she was becoming a danger to both staff and other patients.
