Inspiring story

Today I attended a training at the company with a person whose life story would be excellent for a film worthy of an Oscar nomination. The subject of the training was to put the client in focus and after explaining some technical things the speaker started talking about his personal life. On many days he did not eat all his meals and on other days he went hungry. One thing he did was pray and give thanks since everything in life whether it's good or bad is our duty as a Christian to be grateful. He radically changed his life when he started selling candy when he was 10 years old. He started to sell a lot that his brother started to help and things started to go really well. After 1 year he opened an arcade together with his cousin. A brief summary, he currently works for a multinational and has a team of many people. He speaks 4 languages ??and learned without taking any courses. This kind of story makes us think that if we want something it just depends on our efforts. Have you ever had a inspiring story as this one?

I don't necessarilly find those types of stories "inspiring". Anything, well almost anything, can be accomplished if you're willing to put in the time and effort to make it happen.

Lately, I have been reading books about people who came from poverty and child abuse who ended up succeeding in their adult years. The books are true biographies. I realize how there are many more people than you think who have had miraculous inspiring lives.

I am never sure what to make of someone else's story. We read or hear of some of it, but most of it we are probably still unaware. It is hard enough for me to live my own life, and to try to inspire myself. Reading of other's success usually makes me more depressed rather than inspired, as I again realise that I have missed out again. I have not lived up to my potential, whatever that might have been. And yet, if I recount my story to others, they might call it a successful one too. We need a certain mindset to recognise, and to own our own success.
