Hi everyone, I want to assure everyone that I will get to all my comments I'm just trying to juggle a few things.
Al is still in the hospital. The pneumonia is gone and now they are working on his swallow. it can be an issue in Parkinson's patients. They didn't let him have any food by mouth yesterday and half of today. Let me say, the man is hungry!!
I fed him a pureed dinner and he ate really well. Gravy makes anything taste good lol. He sat up again in the chair but was very tired and they had to lift him back into bed but he is generally showing good signs.
I have no idea when he will be released but right now the rehab center we are interested in has an opening so we are hopeful.
We have had some good conversations, sometimes he is confused but mostly right on point. It's really good to have my best friend back. I don't want to get excited until we have him back home which won't be for a while.
If you are praying, keep them coming we have a long road ahead of us, please. I am so grateful to have some many wonderful friends.

It takes so long for someone to get their strength back. It is good to hear positive things and I am right there with him on the subject of gravy.

Yes we are waiting now for the results of a barium swollow test and hopefully today we will be off to rehab

@BelleStarr Being able to go to rehab will be a big step towards coming home. Al doesn't know me, but tell him hi and that God is answering everyone's prayers.

This is the best news I've had this week! I love hearing about the hand of God, doing a work in a Christian's family And now that the pneumonia is gone, Al will be gaining strength every day:) Once he's able to walk again, Al will be coming home!

I did not know he was in the hospital and that he had pneumonia. How long has he been in the hospital? I can imagine how hungry he was feel. Gravy with bread makes things taste really good. So how long will he be in the rehab when he gets released from the hospital? I am so happy that you have your best friend back. I will pray for pray for him to get better and better each day and go back home again. You are a good person that so many people care about you.

Thank you Hanni He was admitted on Tuesday last week at 12:30 in the morning. So more than a week . Rehab could be 2 weeks or so

That must be hard on the both of you. I like the name you gave me. It is cool and take care both of you and you are welcome. I hope the time goes by fast and then he can be home again. Will things have to change when he comes home or go back to the same way they were?
