Forgot about the coupons

After hubby came home yesterday we went shopping to the Russian store and then to the supermarket.
When we were checking out at the supermarket hubby asked me if I had the coupon for Haagen Daz ice cream. The ice cream was on sale but with the coupon we'd save an extra $1.50. The coupon was $1.50 off when you buy four cartons and we had exactly four cartons to purchase. I looked in my wallet for the coupon but couldn't find it. That was a bummer. I thought we had used it already and told hubby that. Turned out I was wrong. I found it on the dining table when we got home. I put it in my wallet right away so if we get ice cream next time I will have it on me.
At the supermarket, while searching for the ice cream coupon in my wallet, I found a coupon for the Russian store: $5 off a purchase of $50 or more. We spent more than $50 on this shopping trip there so could've used it. I totally forgot about the damn coupon. That sucks! $5 off would have been great.
In total, we could've saved $6.50 on yesterday's shopping. To some that may not seem like much but to me it is a good amount to save. I am still a bit frustrated that I forgot about the coupons.

I hope I remember about these coupons next time around. I hate wasting money or not taking advantage of sales or discounts.

Things like that happen. My husband and I have a saying. 'it's not a good shopping day unless we forget something.' Because almost every single week, we do. At least you have a chance to use both next time.

I made a list yesterday and forgot to add something I need to the list. Good thing I remembered it when I got to the store.

My husband rarely uses the coupons that I give him. It's very frustrating!

@porwest That would be a very very very long walk.

@lovebuglena Especially considering you'd likely have to walk.

It's normal to forget my friend, I also forget something sometime. I think it's human nature.
Have a nice day

True. Forgetting a coupon though means losing out on saving money.

I only use coupons for things I already use and like. I actually don't really look for coupons but if I stumble upon them I use them. Assuming I don't forget I have them.
I am not one of those people that looks online for coupons and prints them out or downloads them...
