Feeling A Little Off Right Now.

This wasn't a planned post, but I wanted to vent somewhere real quick, and I don't feel like logging back into Twitter until I'm finished with my work.
I'm feeling a little "off" right now. And by off, I mean my anxiety is bothering me. I don't really know the reason, and sometimes there isn't a reason. That's just anxiety. Sometimes, it just hits me out of nowhere, and that's what happening right now.
It's an off-and-on thing right now, so at least it's not consistent. It's also not as bad as what others with anxiety go through. However, it was obviously enough to where I felt the need to make this post.
But sometimes, just admitting I'm feeling off and riding those waves can help, which is why I'm here right now. I'm also going to take my anxiety medication (I take it once a day) in a few minutes.
It'll pass. I'll be okay. I'm going to relax after I'm finished with my work for the night.
Anyway, thanks for letting me vent.

I hope your anxiety lets up. I too am one to suffer from anxiety but luckily it happens rarely but when I get on the edge feeling I stand myself in front of a mirror and give myself a pep talk and march myself back to my laptop, Usually, it works fairly well and if not for those really bad moments I take natural Valerian root drops,

Thank you so much. For me, it just depends. Sometimes I can distract myself, other times I just need to sleep it off. I'm on a prescription medication that I take daily, but it's to keep everything on track, not something to take when I'm feeling anxious over a specific situation, if that makes sense. But I do have herbal pills (Hyland's is the brand) that I can take if need be.

@tammys85 I had a rough night a few weeks ago. Couldn't sleep. There were a couple of things bothering me. I decided to try the Stress Release essential oil that is part of a kit of oils I got from Saje Wellness. I never really used the Stress Release before but it seems that night it worked as I went to sleep soon after.

I definitely know how you feel. Mine doesn't really turn off though. So many outside forces cause me a lot of anxiety these days, the least of which is the pandemic. My family cause me anxiety and the unknown future.
If you need someone to talk to, I'm here for you.

@tammys85 My husband's family lives on an island. An island that has been locked to the rest of the world because they had very few cases and wanted to keep it that way. He wants us to retire down there leaving our children (and possibly future grandchildren) behind. What if something like this were to happen again and we wouldn't be able to see our family? My sister has a daughter who is married with 3 children living in New Hampshire. We are in Canada. She has not been able to see them and that has bothered her immensely. I don't want to find myself in that kind of a position ever. Plus, I just don't want to live down there but my husband is insistent that we can't afford to live here. Every day or at least every weekend it is brought up and that just gets me angry and stressed. We have lived in this house for 25 years. This is our home. I love this town. I don't want to leave. Period.

I'm so sorry. :( It sucks. Yeah, I like to have things planned out, known, etc., and the unknown with the pandemic got to me last year, to where I had to give myself screen breaks, so I get it.
Thank you so much. I'm here if you need someone to talk to as well.

It sounds like you are aware when you become too anxious and can talk yourself past the anxiety. My son has struggled with social anxiety throughout much of his life. But after about half a century, he seems to have most of his anxiety under control as well.

Thank you! Most of the time I know what I can do to help, and what I need to eliminate that doesn't. And sometimes, I need to just sleep it off, but that can mess with my productivity. My anxiety isn't as bad as others, so I tend to downplay it, but it's still not any fun. I'm glad he has it more under control!

I have those days also but surely things will overturn as time goes by especially when we've burst it out or vent...

We're all human. Taking a break from your work and just releasing your feelings is helpful. Good thing you were able to stop when you needed to.
