Do You Enjoy Grocery Shopping?

I love to go grocery shopping! I like the feeling of purchasing healthy and nutritious food for my family, and enjoy trying to save money by using coupons and buying items when they are on sale.
My favorite grocery store is ShopRite, because the prices and sales are so good. But when we moved to Georgia in the US there aren't any ShopRite grocery stores down here, so I shop at Walmart and Kroger.
Most people I know don't like to grocery shop.
Do you like to grocery shop? What is your favorite grocery store to shop at?

@CarolDM That's a good idea. Keeps the negative aspects of grocery shopping, like pushing through crowds and waiting in line, out of the experience.

@Kouponkaren Aldi is a German chain, they opened here in Switzerland a little more than 10 years ago. Our home is 4 miles from the Italian border. Not all Aldi stores are good, the one near us is very good another one 5 miles from us not at all.

@LadyDuck Just 4 miles from the border? That's wonderful because then you can take advantage of what both countries have to offer. Is it a challenge to cross the border into Italy? Do you do it often?

@LadyDuck They have Aldo in Switzerland? Wow, pretty cool. I have been a few times but don't really like it. How close are you to Italy?

I do not like shopping in general. Never really likes shopping. I dk like to look at things and what it’s offered. But shopping in itself is a task especially when I have to take the kids wi the me which is like all of the time.

@ShyBear88 Oh yes, bringing kids with you makes shopping much more challenging. When my kids were young, I would go grocery shopping when my kids were in bed and their dad was home at night.

@marlina Well, that's good for you because you can send him whenever you don't want to go.

@wolfgirl569 I think that's how most people feel about it. Not me though.

I actually do enjoy grocery shopping. I tend to plan what store I go to based on what I need and who has the best "stock up" price. I always buy enough at whatever store to last me until the next sale or the next time I am at that store. I save a ton of money doing it this way, and usually have everything I need for whatever meal plan I have.
As for a favorite store? I don't have one. I shop price.

@porwest Good for you. Stocking up and shopping at more than 1 store to get the best prices are 2 of the things I used to teach people in my couponing classes in order to save money. My husband sees stocking up as "clutter." Oh well. He will have to get over it!

@Kouponkaren It may be clutter, but it keeps a nice stock of money in the bank account as well.

@Dena91 We have a Food Lion about 30 minutes from us so I have only been there when I am in that town on my way home from somewhere else.
