Are you still following COVID protocols?

I am. Honestly, I believe everybody should till we have buried this virus and its mutations. For good. It is not being scared...it is being realistic, factual, pragmatic... Do you get laughed at when you are seen with double mask? I do.

We are still following Covid protocols e.g. wearing double masks when going out to market or to a Doctor. Our safety is in our hand. Although, cases are negligible at present here in Delhi, but taking prevention is better than cure.

@dpk262006 It is better being cautious. We now have reports of another mutation - Delta plus although its impact is not known as yet.

@vandana7 I still follow the protocols. But I saw many who don't. Just yesterday there was a small accident and a bunch of more than 20 people were standing very close at the scene.

You are giving me some help by saying that. Now I will look like that too. The last time, somebody said...why are you not wearing gloves..and sneered..obviously she was not wearing mask. In another instance, in a queue ...there was a gentleman who asked this lady to maintain distance. She said, if it is the question of distance, I should be complaining, not you. Some people can be so nasty.

Yes I am following covid protocols. I really don't care about what others think about me..so that's not a problem how they see me... people are nasty I agree , they don't wear a mask and no distancing above all that , it's their reckless answers that irritates me..if they don't want to follow they should mind their business ..but no ..

When they are nasty in a way that they are laughing at you, it does feel awkward. I have seen some wearing mask, lowering it to spit the paan and continue talking. In front of medical store.

I think this thing is here till 2023 or so. Why give it a chance to live for long. It will mutate if it finds a host to survive. If we don't become the hosts, chances of mutations also come down.

Yes, still following the protocols, even though we get strange looks for wearing our masks in public. So many people never bothered to wear masks anyway and now are refusing to get vaccinated. One of the new strains has now made it to the nearest big city. It's worrisome. Even after getting jabbed, we can still catch Covid and get sick...

I did not even mention the strange look. So I had these masks washed and hung to be dried, so I was wearing the single mask, but to be careful, I used a kerchief in between. I got those strange looks. But somebody even asked me to remove the kerchief. He said, I might not manage to breath.

@vandana7 One of the retirement homes here is under quarantine now... All the people living there have been vaccinated but two were found to have one of the new strains of Covid yesterday. (I don't know which strain. The person I was talking with didn't know.) There is a YouTube video that shows a doctor wearing a mask and making a video that shows wearing a mask doesn't change how much oxygen you get while wearing one. Let me see if I can find the video for you. People are ignorant.
Wearing a face mask does not make you short of oxygen - look!

I go out wearing a shield over N 95 these days - which is once per week. Whoever has to laugh can laugh whatever way. Yet I am seeing videos and images on some news sites which show people not following Covid norms and distances. So people would likely bring the 3rd wave themselves.

On 26th I got fully vaccinated. Yes I follow all the protocols . I put mask, maintain social distancing and sanitize my hand frequently and that's the reason I didn't catch the virus even though I used to go to my workplace daily during this lockdown. We have over 2000 employes and we have to be in their contact as I am in core production process. We need to follow them to keep ourself safe. Yes we are using double masks but there are people who don't follow it.

I stay home, I don't mind. It's too hot outside. The only suggestion my family doesn't follow is sending one member only to do the grocery shopping at the supermarket. As there is only one car and we go there once a week, we can't give up "teamwork".

@vandana7 That's so bad. There should be someone checking and maybe fining those who don't wear masks, if there's a law that would be. But then each shop can make their own rules and kick out who doesn't wear a mask.

I agree with you. The Delta variant differs from the other variants and we must not let our guard down, we have not come this far for nothing. I feel very comfortable wearing my mask when out, I wear gloves if I will be using a shopping cart, or putting gasoline in the car.

The more chance we give to this virus to survive, the more mutants we will have to battle. We gotta get real. We are not in some movie or TV serial. This is for real. All those statements of facing it bravely are fine. Nobody said be foolishly brave.
