A better week, but a much hotter week ahead

I apologize for not responding to all the comments and good wishes on my last two posts about Anne's hospital visits. The last two weeks have been incredibly busy with cooking, laundry and keeping an eye on Anne to make sure she is okay. We avoided another trip to the ER, although she did have a brief seizure night before last. There is no history of seizures or epilepsy in her whole life up to now. She will see a neurologist soon to maybe get to the cause of all this. Oregon is faced with record setting temperatures, 114 (45 C) today, following 108 (42 C) yesterday, with more to come all week. I am a little concerned bout the power grid with so many fans and air conditioners running 24 hours a day, but the power companies say they are ready for this. I'm hoping to be around more this week to read the posts of others. I missed a lot!

I thought to you and Anne when I have read about the heatwave in your area. I hope you both are fine. I think Anne should see a neurologist. Take care of yourself and Anne James, myLot can wait.

@JamesHxstatic The heat wave in your state is horrible, I hope it will fade soon. I am glad to know that Anne is eating and sleeping, it is important to recover.

Anne's appointment with a neurologist is made, but it is not immediate. I wish It was. This heat is crazy and record setting. Portland is even hotter than Eugene and I worry about my daughter there, though she does have air conditioning. Anne is eating and sleeping well, but is very low energy today.

Yikes! and I complain about the 80's and 90's. Only because Florida tends to get insainly humid.

It is understandable, we have to set priorities. Glad Anne is home. I hope you can get answers soon. I read about your weather. Stay cool and take care.

We are staying as cool as possible. Anne does better than I with it since she is cold natured and I can't run the a/c as low as I would normally.

I have family in the Portland and Salem areas as well as a cousin in Seattle. I hope they are all OK.

They have opened "cooling stations" for those with no A/C. I hope they are okay too and that the power grid does hold up.
