There was a conversation on another site about rich companies paying taxes on their capital gains money. They asked if we thought if they should or shouldn't. Most people said Yes and I was shocked to see some people but not many said no they shouldn't. I couldn't believe it! Then one person hit it right on the nose ! They said," When the rich people pay less they say it's business and then when a poor or middle class person fights back about the issue it is called violence! How do you feel about it?

Frankly speaking there is always a double standard between the rich and the poor.

The Nocturnal Writer is correct. It's a double standard.

The rich really should still have to pay taxes. If a percentage of our hard earned dollars goes to paying taxes, the rich should chip in, too. Maybe if they did we'd be more equal and the national debt wouldn't be where it is.

I agree! I had always thought before that the more you made the more taxes you paid. But the past 5 to 10 years I found out it is not that way.

I'm not a big fan of corporations--they are out for their selves and that's it.
