I can't make plans / myLot

When my former daughter-in law sets a weekend for me to watch my grandkids then her plans change and she doesn't tell me that till I verify with her a day before.

Last week they didn't show up Friday morning. I texted her Friday and all weekend. Sunday night I texted her mother, then she finally texted me and said they would be there in the morning. Monday she still didn't show up..... again I got up early for nothing.

I texted her again and she said sorry she will come on Wednesday. They didn't show up again, nore this morning. Now it's they won't be here till Saturday.

Even if I had money to go on vacation I couldn't have!

They will come soon. There's a problem problem beyond their control. I know how excited you're to see your grandkids.

Oh yes I am excited to see them, but this is also my job. I get up and get ready and make sure the house is ready for the kids properly then she doesn't show up with them.

@Nakitakona I have been so patient already. I guess it's not enough and that is probably why she treats me that way.

I said that too her before many times and she agrees with me and then does it again. Besides watching them is my job.

3 strikes you're out. I would tell her I wasn't available the next few times she asks you..and tell her in the future you need her to keep her commitments. You are being taken advantage of, and you can't continue to let it go.

Yeah, I want to but unfortunatly I need the money to pay my rent. I was not charging before but when my daughter moved out I had to pay all the rent and utilities, but my social security check isn't enough, so she started giving me money. Now my rent is going up again and she cannot give me more money so I have to find more ways to get it.
