Chance Encounters Can Change Our Lives

As I look back on my life, I recall a few chance encounters that helped to break new paths, a few I took rather blindly.
I often like to reminisce such times and what could have happened had I not met a few at the right time. It was like they were guided by providence as my life took a totally different turn.
Then again, I also think my attitude to life would have found a way to survive and even thrive under different circumstances too. I tend to fight back against the wall if it comes to that.
Be that as it may, who decides who we meet and when? Is there a higher hand that guides such? It could be destiny. Then that is all encompassing. Where we are born, who our parents are, and when?
Some stand by their faith, while others just let sleeping dogs lie, why bother at all?
Life will ever remain a puzzle but people like me wonder about existence all the time.
Have you had chance encounters that changed your life?

Life is a puzzle for those who don't care about it. But for those who love their life, they're confident and assured of a good or even better life as they put God first.

Sometimes bad encounters can change us too. Something happens as a part, or as a result, of the encounter that changes us forever too.
Sometimes it is not even people that we encounter.
I was on a train once, and I noticed the title of a book that someone was reading.
It was called, "The Call, and the Echo."
The title impressed me so much, that I bought the book for myself, and it also impressed me.
The call comes from love, the echo is played by our minds to us.
Do we go with the real call, or do we follow our mind's echoing rendition of it instead?

@Shiva49 Some people think that God sends us new waves of consciousness that we can tap into, to uplift ourselves by, from time to time.
They are saying that we have entered a phase in his plan called the Aquarius Age, now, for example, and so we have access to higher levels of consciousness, if we so desire to reach up into it.
Some people are happy to stick with their old consciousness horizon, and their experiences then will match where they are.
Reaching higher brings us to higher levels of experience too, and more awareness about our experiences as well.
Experiences are a dime a dozen, to some, but are rare as hen's teeth to others, who want a certain type of experience to lift them higher.

Yes, it is in a way like first-hand and second-hand knowledge.
When we reflect on what we go through in life, our own experiences, it is much deeper than the echo - what others tell about life.
I have learned myself after moving within a gamut of people from different cultures and beliefs. What I read and hear from others in the media look prejudiced then.
Yes, people are brainwashed by a few glib talkers that their god is in danger and to rally behind him as if God is like us in his outlook, narrow-minded!

@innertalks The reality is we are never short of surprises.
The issue with second-hand knowledge is the prejudice, agenda, they have to make us toe their line.
When I am within a culture I can appreciate where they come from. Of course, one needs to keep an open mind to be considerate and empathetic.
One area is the western concept of democracy that may not go well with some cultures and forcing that down the throats will never solve the underlying issue. It is better they work it out themselves.
Of course, there are broad parameters to fit into world order but within that, there should be freedom of choice.
The sum total of our experiences should uplift our consciousness with everyone feeling comfortable and becoming part of the process.
However, the primeval instincts still hold sway as I see suspicions and threats bandied about by powerful countries forcing others to fall in line or face the consequences and isolation.
So we still have a lot of spadework to strengthen our foundation of unity in diversity. When we cannot accept that there is only one creator, then we are stuck at the starting block! My way or the highway is the biggest impediment.
