I was just reading another article about the National Hockey League expanding to 32 teams this year. In 2017 they had expanded to the 31 teams taking on the Las Vegas Golden Knights. This year (21-22 season) we will see a new team with a terrible name in my opinion. We will see the addition on the Seattle Kraken to the league. Yep, they named their team the Kraken’s. Now I am only guessing they are referring to the sea monster. Of course, I thought that was supposed to be near Norway and Greenland so not sure why Seattle, from the west coast of USA is using it. All I know is I would not have picked that name. We’ll see if they can start off as well as the Golden Knights did. The Knights have made the playoff every year since they have been in the league and in their first year, they made it to the finals and lost in the Stanley Cup series. Not to bad for a team that just got in the league. The expansion draft is on July 21 then we will see who they are getting on their team. I’m sure a lot of good players from other teams just like the Knights did just 4 years ago.
