Started Vision Therapy a few weeks ago for my odd vision problem

I miss coming on here and need to more often. I have had an activity just about every day making me unavailable to just rest and recharge - but next week I am on vacation, so hopefully I can pop on a little more often - BUT I am also driving out to South Dakota and up over to North Dakota for a vacation with my aunt and mom, so maybe that won't happen LOL. I recently started doing vision therapy which is costing me a bit more than expected - is a pretty large committment (45 weeks of weekly visits with daily homework) and the purpose of it is to give me binocular vision (and hopefully not double vision!) as that is something I don't have. I have a lazy eye that goes inward and so I don't have two eyes that can "fuse" an image and focus on the same thing together. They do not work together. I focus out of my left eye, and my right eye turns inward (sometimes) and catches peripheral images but no focusing. Conversely, I can "flip" to focusing with my right eye (but then my left eye turns inward and only sees periphery, and my right eye does the focusing). It's super strange, and this affliction has changed my recognition/ability to understand space (especially on the right side), inability to see 3D or "stereovision", messed with my body mechanics / ability to use each side of the body with the other - and has given me "univision". They BELIEVE they can get me "binocular vision", training the brain to use the eyes TOGETHER -to fuse images - no guarantees, like with anything, but I am still excited to see what happens. So far weekly we do different eye exercises with different methods as well as some body mechanic exercises to help my opposite sides "work together". It's a strange affliction to have but since it has been my existence since childhood, I really haven't stopped to think about it. I talked to one of my best friends the other day about this, and she told me in earnestness she has never NOTICED I had a lazy eye - LOL! Sometimes it is straight and usually when I am more tired, it turns inward, but "luckily" it's not super noticeable to anyone but me. But, having dealt with this for 20-some odd years, I also have been masterful at hiding it in different ways. Do I part my hair a certain way? yes. I wear glasses (which can hide it), I squint a lot, and I love wearing sunglasses during the day time (but this is mostly because I am super sensitive to light). I will periodically do updates here because it's super interesting to me, thinking about brain and vision and being "older" and retraining your brain. But I believe in it! Do you, or anyone you know, have any experience with this or any other kind of strange vision problems?

Nope. This is the first I have heard about vision therapy of misbehaving eyes going inward. Hope your eyes would be cured or back to normal.

I have not herd of this vision problem. I have known those with a lazy eye. Good luck with your therapy.
