Here We Go Again With Social Security

I stayed home today because I had some things to get done around the house and thought it would be a nice and quiet day with hubby going to mow the yard at the house in Louisiana.
One of my chores on the list today was to print out the forms that need filling out for Social Security. I logged on to their site and went through the list of forms twice and neither one of the forms I need are online. I asked the hubster to look at the list when he came home to see if I overlooked the forms. I didn't write down the wrong numbers because I repeated them both to the lady I spoke with before ending the phone call.
So now I will get to sit on hold again for who knows how long. I'm so tired of all the BULL!! To say I am annoyed is not exactly the phrase I would use. Beyond annoyed!!
Who else had an annoying thing happen today?

Was the Social Security office open today? My husband is a social worker with the state and the welfare office was closed today cause of the Fourth. Two clients called him anyway. I managed to get signed up for Medicare pretty easy but have social security to deal with next. I hate long phone calls like that.

No it is not. I talked to them on Friday. Was planning on dropping signed forms off tomorrow but now I have to figure out a way to get the forms. Of course they can't send you forms, that is too much trouble. Offices are closed and only seeing people by appointment only. I may ask for an appointment but still I have to get mom's signiture on forms so that only gets half of it done.

Well today thus far is annoying because I am supposed to be getting an MRI tomorrow and can not find the pertinent info. and no one is answering the phone in reference to it either..

Dear God. I am sorry to read this. It never ends..the system is brutal to people. It would drive you insane. I am sure that is their goal.
Yes, I am dealing with complete pigs here..that is the only words I can find to describe the bs.
Just to subsist is a challenge. It seems their goal is only one...to destroy.

How frustrating. Have you tried typing that form number into the browser window and seeing what comes up? Sometimes that helps. Good luck. Nothing much annoying going on here. I'll see after I make 3 phone calls today how aggravated I get.

that is the reason i hired an accountant to do my taxes. I got tired of fill out form XXXX - going online and that form wasn't available online.
So I went to the library, got the form. I then decided I was done with the process!

I am glad we have social security, it's what literally keeps people a float. However, it's a lot of red tape and annoyances. Fun times.
