Today i went out for some groceries and essential items shopping.
While heading out of the shopping mart i saw a women who seemed to be in her 40's or something close to it she was just walking few feets away from me when two people (maybe between 20-30) on a bike came near to her leaned close and snatched the woman's gold chain from her neck and went to the opposite side
The incident took place within few seconds even it took some time for people around to realise what just happened
Stay safe!

That was horrible. Did anyone not in shock stop them or call for help? It just takes a second for something to happen. I am sorry and that must have been horrible for her. Very good title for this post.

I believe you. It goes so fast when they do things like that and they know how to do it. I feel bad for the woman. That was nice of the people to try and help.

All this happened within the blink eye
It took some time for people to realise what actually happened
People tried taking photos of the bike number not sure if they could

It's very common in Delhi. I remember once we went to India gate and a biker snatched a gold chain from my mother's neck. We could have thought what happened they ran away. The good thing was they good get only the halp piece of the chain as my mother held it so it broke.

I don't understand why nobody is concerned about these kinds of problems

@ThatDisha Yes that seems to be a possibility and maybe they pretend to be running after them.

How trained they are that they do such things within the blink of an eye

@ThatDisha only if everyone could be kind and have some common sense the world would be so much of a better place

Wearing gold jewelry in crowded public places invites trouble in my opinion. I seldom wear mine, only on special occasions, I treat them more as investment and collection to be appreciated only in private or with very close friends and relatives, I don't flaunt them for everybody to see.
