Pink Raindrops on the Roses

Was out filling the bird bath earlier and a light rain started. It was refreshing. Snapped a photo from the roses in Dustin's garden with the raindrops. Should have rain a few days, from the hurricane/storm Elsa in Florida. I hope all of our members in the area are staying safe. A light rain is so nice. I sat out in the screen room a few minutes and enjoyed the sound on the metal roof. Brendel is sleeping on the chaise now. The Dude is under the table snoring beside me.

That's all we got. Elsa will be out of Florida within a few hours. I'm glad it didn't really do to much damage. South west FLorida got hit pretty bad, and I'm sure my hometown saw it worse.

@CarolDM I can't speak for South FLorida or where I grew up, but Daytona is no worse for wear. Just on and off rain. Not even hard enough to send the cat under the bed.

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens... Beautiful roses you have there. My mind went back to my youth when you mentioned rain on a metal roof.

Beautiful shot. We are getting some rain today from the approaching cold front. Elsa is sticking near the east coast. I should check on Jeff. He lives in Gainesville Florida.

Thanks! We have a chance today too. He checked in yesterday and was fine. **Just read this comment from Jeff: "I woke up this morning to a tornado warning sounding off on my phone, a broken tree branch on the roof of my truck, and flooded streets on the drive to work. But other than that, it was an easy day at work since everybody was hunkered down for the storm. I'm home safe now, and it seems most of the rain has ended, but the flooding is pretty bad. It rained all day long today, and we were already in flood conditions before the storm hit. But all is good here. No major storm damage that I'm aware of."

Such pretty roses. I heard on the radio today that we have had 21 straight days of rain, including the pounding we got from Elsa today. The flooding in the area is pretty bad, there were even a few spots where I wasn't sure my 4x4 truck would make it through. But on the bright side, our temps haven't topped 85 degrees yet for the summer, and we're already a week into July!
