Dramatic cry

I was in the kitchen just trying to get to my morning coffee. I hear my husband shout bye and shut the door. All of sudden I hear this loud cry “mama where are you?” I answer back quickly from hearing the tone of voice coming from one of 2 boys wake.
Then I hear “I didn’t get to say good bye to daddy”
Me taking a deep as I responded “sorry daddy doesn’t have time to wait for to come down to say good bye when you don’t need to be awake yet.”
Already figured this is not either of the boys. Nope just me 10 year old daughter being over dramatic. She’ll get over as soon as she realize I’m not going to giver my energy. Any other day she wouldn’t care but I guess today she does.

If she was down stairs when he left he would have done that if she wanted it. But she was still in her bedroom I assumed she was sleeping

@ShyBear88 LOL, of course. I think it's a kids job to drive us bonkers. And our job to show them how to live being bonkers.

It’s the preteen in her. Always something to cry over.

Maybe she had a bad dream or something. Yes, some drama needs to be shut down or redirected. Maybe she can make him a card to give him when he gets home or write him a letter. It could turn this drama into a more positive direction.

No. She wouldn’t ask for her dad if she had a bad dream it would be me. I just ignored her and let her do her thing. After about 30
Minutes she gave up and moved on.
