How Do You Deal With Reverses and Failures?

Failures and reverses are part and parcel of life but they do hurt. It is how we face them that decide our mettle.
Though I am ready with the right mental makeup to deal with them I get disoriented till I find the right approach to tackle them. A few times it looked the end of the world but soon they were behind me, water under the bridge.
I feel they are there to keep us alive but I still wish for a smoother ride! Then again, how will life be when there are no challenges and everyday is the same?
We have individual worries and threats and also those that affect us all. Some countries are always in turmoil due to internal strife and external threats. Now we have the pandemic that keeps us guessing; we cannot drop our guard.
Though the usual platitudes are easy to dish out, when it comes to the crunch we are severely tested and feel lost. We have to go through the grind than take cover hiding from them.
It is said all challenges come with solutions too and we have to rise to the occasion. They are there to drive home harsh reality. Unraveling them and the time taken test us no end. At times they are of our own making like rules cast in stone and interpreted by bureaucrats with no feeling.
The compassion and love in society is the panacea for many challenges, reverses, and failures that the common folks face in their daily lives. That we are in it together does go a long way.
Maybe, you can share your thoughts.

Lately I seem much less able to deal with life’s ups and downs. I am used to being in control and these days I can’t control much in life.

I can understand Belle as I know how you are placed now.
Thanks for taking the time to make the comment too.
I am also losing my footing due to the curtailment of movement with the pandemic stalking us everywhere.
Life is in disarray for most and we never saw this coming.

This is the biggest failure in life that i have ever face because i can't make a lot of money in my work status. I only have to do is to think positive , improve my skills , work hard , stay healthy , dream , pray and do my very best when i'm facing my reverses and failures in life .

I always try to learn something from challenges and failures. If things don't turn out the way I hoped or expected I try a different approach, and sometimes I even develop new techniques that way

I try to learn from life’s experiences. If I fail at something I will try a different approach.

There is more to life than dealing with challenges, reverses, and failures.
Some people stolidly sit in place, frozen by their fears, lack of know-how, and accepted inabilities, or sometimes with a non-caring attitude.
They ignore the challenge, reverse, setback, or failure, hoping that nothing bad will come of it, and that time will cause it to change, and blow away from them within that time too.
Sometimes, this approach works, but at other times, doing nothing just makes things worse.
Why do we have challenges in our lives, and what is the best approach to handling them?
Love is challenged by all it wants to and tries to touch, (But love remains unchanged by whatever challenge it faces, it remains itself, love) but until the person being touched is really affected, nothing happens, as the change must be on the receiving end, not the giving end.
And so, challenges are handled differently by every person, but the main idea is to try to learn how to better handle them each time that they come, and to allow the inner guidance in, and the softness of love to blossom, and to find a new shoot of itself newly grown, within each problem too.

@Shiva49 Yes, covid is the current fly in the ointment, and it is taking its good time to move on again too.
People are talking about the new covid normal, rather than getting back to real peace of mind, we are being asked to learn to live with our thorn in the flesh instead.

@innertalks I heard it too countries like Australia are virgin territory for it to spread its wings, cause havoc.
Living with it is what the UK is looking forward to - welcome buddy, let us live in peace - withdraw your fangs! They have about 35,000 cases a day and multiply that by 20 for the Indian population number. That means about 700,000 in India! But India had only just over 400,000 at the peak!
Now, most are making peace with the devil, like God obviously did, maybe to keep us under check, from going overboard, taking advantage of his love as he cannot do otherwise.
At times, I think aliens are behind it! They have landed! Richard Branson could have had a better view of them from up above and then the planet is up for grabs for any uninvited visitor! Covid has softened us up for the coup the grace!
Sorry, Steve, some gallows humor!

Thanks, Steve. When our intentions are honorable and straightforward, then half the battle is won.
There are people who thrive in challenges and others who avoid them like the plague, okay, like Covid 19 to go more with the present times.
The beauty is once they are behind us, they give us a sense of satisfaction. In life, they appear one after another as change is the only constant and we have to adapt too.
Maybe just go with the flow - do what we can, accept the results, and move on for peace of mind.

I have faced failures much more than successes. So I am used to them. But each time I failed It made by will force even more strong. For example I wrote article and send to 15 journals. 13 of them rejected, then the 1st journal published them
