Early Morning Brings Many Thoughts

Brendel was restless last night and this morning. She woke me many times. She is of course sleeping now. She likes to get close to me. And with her hearing loss, her meows are very loud and startling.
She calms down when she can lay next to me. And then I am awake. But it is part of the process I suppose.
Was out having coffee in the screen room early. It was a quiet morning. I do a lot of thinking, sometimes too much probably. But I know I must hold onto hope and belief in life. No matter what comes or goes.
Not sure what I believe in these days, but we all need something to cling to, which in turn brings us hope. Just random thoughts.

My sister had a cat like that...who had hearing loss and ear splitting meows. I feel for you and Brendel..

We are having a minor Elsa!! I woke up to lightning, thunder, very heavy rains and winds!! It's nice but then I am inside and dry!

I am glad Brendel finds comfort being close to you. Buttons would get as close to us as she could until she crossed over. We miss her so much. Even though we still have Ginger our home has become quieter. I talked with Mike about his thoughts on getting another fur baby in the future and he said he doesn't want his heart to break again. I understand. She was his baby his shadow.
I think too much at times too. I will find my comfort in bible verses to help calm my thoughts. Some days it is easier than others. Holding you close in my thoughts and prayers.

I can see that Brendel wants you near. My Sophie is sick and she likes to be near me too. Life is very hard these days and some that I thought I could trust cannot and not sure they are good people or not. I am tired of people not being who they should be and thankful for the few that I do believe in still and have been good to me. Life is very hard and has been very hard for my cat and myself. She is sick and the only thing that seems to help get her to eat is this stuff the vet gave me to rub inside her ear but I want to her eat because she wants to get well and so far I do not believe I got through to her. I hope she will be her old self again soon.

Thank you so much and yes, I do know that you know. I hope and pray that she does return to her old self too. I worry about her and trying the best but it is up to her to want to eat and she only eats these days when I rub this gel stuff in her ear. She has to want to eat on her own. She gets up but also sits on her scratch box and lays on the bed too. I wish there was more I could do but there isn't and that is what bothers me.

Sometimes it is very hard to shut down those thoughts. I believe in the resurrection and hope, but sometimes this world is heavy and it is hard to keep going.
