Day 30 Exodus 6:1 Then the LORD said unto Moses, “Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.” 2 And God spoke unto Moses, and said unto him, “I am the LORD: 3 “And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them. 4 “And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers. 5 “And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant. 6 “Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched-out arm, and with great judgments: 7 “And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. 8 “And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for a heritage: I am the LORD.” 9 And Moses spoke so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage. Sometimes when things don’t go well, it’s hard to believe you will see good days again. God promised Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, He would give them the land of Canaan. He told Moses, He would bring Israel out of bondage to Pharaoh and do away with their bondage. However, with the increased cruelty from Pharaoh, the Israelites refused to believe Moses. As Christians, you need to remember God never failed in a single promise He gave His people. He came through every time. Your circumstances might look impossible, and they are, but not to God. With God, all things are possible. In speaking to the disciples about salvation, Jesus said all things were possible with God. Matthew 19:23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, “Verily I say unto you, that a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. 24 “And again I say unto you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” 25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, “Who then can be saved?” 26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, “With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” It looked impossible to the Israelites that they would ever leave Egypt. Yet, God promised them they would and God would make it happen. When life looks impossible, pray. God will show you what you need to do. Sometimes, you only need to stand still and watch what God will do. Exodus 14:13 And Moses said unto the people, “Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will show to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever. 14 “The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” 2 Samuel 5:23 And when David enquired of the LORD, he said, “Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees. 24 “And let it be, when thou hear the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt bestir thyself: for then shall the LORD go out before thee, to smite the host of the Philistines.” 2 Chronicles 20:14 Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the LORD in the midst of the congregation; 15 And he said, “Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, ‘Thus says the LORD unto you, “Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s. 16 “Tomorrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel. 17 “Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.” 18 And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD. 19 And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice on high. 20 And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.” 21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, “Praise the LORD; for his mercy endures forever.” 22 And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. 23 For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, everyone helped to destroy another. 24 And when Judah came toward the watchtower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped. When God fights for you, you don’t need to do anything except receive the spoil. Nothing is too hard for God. Let’s pray: Father, help me stand still and watch You fight my battles. Help me give You praise when life looks impossible. Let my prayers come before You as incense with praise and glory for what You will do for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
