Day 31
Exodus 6:28 And it came to pass on the day when the LORD spoke unto Moses in the land of Egypt,
29 That the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, “I am the LORD: speak thou unto Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say unto thee.”
30 And Moses said before the LORD, “Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh hearken unto me?”
7:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, “See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
2 “Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.
3 “And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.
4 “But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
5 “And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.”
6 And Moses and Aaron did as the LORD commanded them, so did they.
7 And Moses was fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spoke unto Pharaoh.
Do you question your instructions when they seem unattainable?
God told Moses and Aaron to go to Pharaoh and demand he let Israel leave Egypt. He also told them Pharaoh wouldn’t let them go so God could bring about His ultimate plan to lay His hand on Egypt with signs and wonders before he would let Israel leave.
As Christians, God speaks to you, instructing you in the work He would have you do for Him. Many times, you question the instructions and wonder if God really spoke to you or if it was your imagination.
Moses and Aaron questioned God about what He wanted them to do. Yet God stood firm and told them to go to Pharaoh. God will stand firm with you, too. He will let you know through various means, confirming His intention and His work through you.
Remember, prayer is a two-way street. When God speaks, He expects you to listen and talk to Him about His plans. When Moses and Aaron spoke to God about what God intended, God gave them a detailed plan with His goal of bringing the children of Israel out of Egypt. It wouldn’t be easy. When God asks you to do something, it might not be easy, but it will always be rewarding.
Let’s pray: Father, help me listen to the plans You have for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

And it is really difficult to listen to what God says, and to know when He says!
