My good fortune yesterday my favorite 'Saint' movie starring Val Kilmer was on my suggested list. Sprawled on the couch, legs up, while reviewing the saint-spy infiltrating Russian affairs. By pure luck, the movie was followed by 'The Good Doctor,' a television series I'd been meaning to watch for a long time. Never knew it was offered in local tv. Never availed of cable channels. It was a treat! Watched till episode 15 and if the clock did not show a half past four this morning, I would have finished season 1. Very interesting character 'The Good Doctor' is, a savant of an abused child who lost his only brother in an accident but had the 'good fortune' of meeting a doctor who guided him from then on. Most likely the reason why the hospital in the series is called 'St. Bonaventure.' And what do you know, groggy as I was from lack of sleep, I tuned in to online Mass this morning and heard Fr. Benigno invoking the saint whose feast we are celebrating today - who else but St. Bonaventure! I wouldn't lie to you, I never knew of the saint and what he is saint for. Just learned he was an intellectual who recodified the Franciscan Rule of Life. He was called the 'seraphic saint' for a reason I still have to learn. But I know that his birth name was John and received only 'Bonaventure' after Francis of Assisi, in an expression of delight of little John getting healed miraculously, exclaimed "O Buona Ventura."

Done watching all the three seasons and discovered the Korean original was also suggested. On episode 7 now f the K-pop drama and my elder daughter is laughing at me because I swore never to watch Korean dramas.

@thelme55 A few reasons one of which is the fact that all Korean celebrities have their faces aesthetically altered. I don't like that.

@eileenleyva Why do you swore never to watch Korean dramas? I didn’t say that to my nieces who are living in the Philippines. I just asked them why are they got crazy about Kdrmas. They even wanted to learn Korean language. I am a curious person and when I heard some of my friends in Germany are hooked to the K dramas,I got interested. Since my son shared his Netflix account with me last March, I couldn’t stop watching those awesome Kdramas.. I am even learning the language now on you tube.

Not for long television series any longer because of the overly unrealistic plots screen writers subject viewers with, this series delves on the travails of an autistic child gifted with an incredible intelligence in the most trying of all skills - surgery. The episodes are really mind-blowing.
