Tough situation to this dog

Yesterday I was at my brothers treating one of their dogs that also had hot spot. But when I looked at it was horrible. Then they finally told me that truth that he hasn't eaten in a week
. I mean not only he was so think but also blind as well that he couldn't even recognized me.
We give him some meds and ointment to his skin but I'm not hopeful. They wanted him to be admitted but with this situation, i doubt he'd last longer..For now I'm going back there to do some force feeding and meds like the usual.

Your caring attitude tells me that if the dog can be made healthy again, you will be able to do it.
But there may come a time when you have to end treatments and accept that the dog is too sick.
I feel bad that you're facing this trouble but I am glad you stepped up to help.
I hope the dog starts eating soon. It's a bad sign when they won't eat.
Keep up the good work you're doing to help him to recover.

Hello @Vikingswest1 I'm surprised that he somehow gotten a bit stronger since I saw him wagging his tail. Not to mention he gets to eat again. Trouble is that they didn't forcely open his mouth to feed him and take his medication. All could have been avoided had they told me a week before. Im supposed to just bring teh meds and let her do it but I went to do it anyways.

@Vikingswest1 I admit I was sadly pessimistic at first since they didn't force feed for a week. But I'm glad those meds starting to help the dog.

I feel glad that the dog is getting good care and has shown improvement. I'm hoping he'll be back up and around soon.

How sad, but the dog must have manifested symptoms in his behavior for a long time that he was not well, that he was sick. You do your good to provide him with a better quality of life, even if it turns out to be his last days. I have seen cases of dogs and homeless people and they suddenly make them want to live and last for many years.
