Tense? Who has a case of the jitters? Not hubby and certainly not me. Nope. Yesterday I folded up a metal shelving unit and put it on the deck. Out there the wind might blow dust off it. It had been in our main bathroom. I vacuumed the area where it had been. Today hubby started thinking and looking into whether it could go into our little two door car. The answer was no, especially if we intend to bring two dogs on our trip West. (We're going next month.) So he then wondered about letting it hang out of our trunk, the trunk tied down. That put a huge no in my mind. I do NOT want to be thinking about stuff possibly falling off my car while I am busy driving fast on the highway. I think the shelf should stay in the shed until our larger move next Spring. We do have three items in the trunk right now, though and that trunk is securely shut. One of the items is a cedar box. Its empty so we'll find things to fill it with before we head out in a few weeks. I'm not at my best when I sit and wait. Guess I could be getting the jitters after all.

I would think the excitement of the upcoming trip would be enough to give you the jitters. Maybe you could find or borrow one of those roof racks that clamp on your car roof. You could tie the shelf on top.

@Vikingswest1 First I have the realtor visit to give me the jitters then the trip. I wonder if a roof rack would work on my bubble shaped car? Interesting thought. Thanks.

@sallypup You can look at a U-Haul place online and see if one is compatible with what you're driving.

@Vikingswest1 There's a U Haul van that I might rent next Spring. The shed on the property has no heat. I don't want to leave old furniture and such there through a cold winter.

Sitting and waiting makes me nervous too. Every day I have to wait for the Meals on Wheels people to come; and I can't relax until they are gone because I have to be ready to answer the door right away.

@sallypup My husband thinks I'm overreacting; but he's not the one that has to answer the door every day.

@snowy22315 We're going West, first to check out the house we bought and use as a rental for a while longer then the next day we're headed to a church picnic. Hubby wants to get to know the people so we're going to a picnic with them. Please pray that Rufus behaves at that picnic!
