Apple Breakfast Bake for Dinner

Found another recipe I have not cooked in awhile. This one always has leftovers.
You can substitute other fruits for the apple. I have done that many times.
Many have this one for breakfast. I prefer it for dinner. Enjoyed smelling the baked apple scent all over the house while it was baking.
The dish calls for french bread, butter, apple pie filling, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla.
I also serve this with warm maple syrup over the top. Makes for a nice addition.

@DocAndersen This was not like a dessert to me. A small bowl was sort of like french toast with the warm syrup on top.
