No water for a while

Since yesterday, there has been shortage of water in our area. They announced last week about it but people didn't mind about it.
They are fixing some new pipes that supply the city. Now they had to break the old one ones.
Hope they fix them soon because water is scarce and it has taken time without raining.
Have you ever experienced it there?

I have experienced some water shortages due to hurricanes Laura and Delta last year as well as two winter storms this year,

No, where I live now has deep wells and not an issue, I did live in an area once though where the water supply got contaminated with giardia and people had to boil the water before using.

I have, and it's not any fun. We've had summers with wildfires and no rain. Smoke was so bad one year it changed the color of the street lights.
