Cut the block of cream cheese in half horizontally. Spread wasabi paste (can be bought in the fresh sushi section of the grocery store) across the base and top with the top half. Roll the block in sesame seeds and pour low sodium soy sauce all over it. I serve it with Triscuits. Everyone loves it!

I have never had wasabi sauce or sesame before. Are they expensive?

@NJChicaa I do like your MIL recipe. Cocktail sauce like for shrimp? Earlier, I simply made hot jalapeno dip. I am out of Frito scoops, though, so I need to use saltines for dipping.

As yournickname here is frugalgal, I will tell you what I do.
1. Top it with some soy sauce and toasted sesame seeds.
2.Make a thick syrup with a bit of sugar and water and add diced sweet peppers (very small and as different color as you have). I also add hot green pepper but that is optative.
3. Mix it with a bit of blue cheese to add some zest to it.

I took notes lol I will be trying soy and sesame one of these days and will try adding blue cheese.
I'm just glad there are no blue people that will take offense by using blue cheese.
