Minnesota Vikings assistant coach Rick Dennison has been fired after refusing to be vaccinated against COVID-19. All of what are called "Tier 1" employees are required to be vaccinated unless there is a valid medical or religious exemption. The team said that Dennison did not have an exemption. I imagine we will see more of this. I know that some hospital systems are requiring all employees to be vaccinated. It will be interesting if that thinking moves into education especially since young children cannot yet get vaccinated.
After refusing to receive a vaccine for COVID-19, Rick Dennison is out as a Vikings assistant coach, sources told ESPN. Patriots assistant Cole Popovich also won't be with his team in 2021 in a decision related to the vaccine, sources confirmed to ESPN.

I would say it's unfair....vaccination is a personal choice and should be respected.... What are your thoughts about it @NJChicaa

I don't have an issue with them requiring vaccination for access to elite athletes.

@S4mmyboy People who refuse the vaccine, can still be carriers of this virus and spread it to other people. This is very unfair!

It’s not unusual for hospitals. I worked in an office, in the basement, having no contact with anyone except two other people in the office. I was required to get an MMR (mumps, measles, rubella) vaccine because all hospital employees had to have it. No exceptions. That was eight years ago, too.

It is a job and they said jobs can require vaccines back when places started requiring the flu shots. So he got what he meeded.

I hate to say this, it's not very nice. But Rick Dennison knew better, it's his own fault he lost the coaching job.

It infringes on free choice; but I still think they should be vaccinated.
