July 24 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today is a good day. I canceled my plans this morning because I didn't know when my son and his friend who works on cars would be over. I'm thankful for a nice relaxing day today. I like weekends. I don't need to get up early to get ready for the pool. Still, it was a busy day. I'm thankful for the packing I did today. My son brought me more boxes, so I should get the kitchen almost finished tomorrow. I'm thankful I got the notifications finished early today. I enjoy visiting with you. I'm thankful my car is fixed. My son and his friend arrived early, but it took all afternoon to get it fixed. My son's friend wasn't convinced it was the starter with the questions he asked. True to form, the car started right up and they took it for a test drive after they brushed off the corroded battery stems, thinking they found the answer to the problem. However, when they stopped the car on the test drive, it wouldn't start. It needed a new starter. It has a new starter. Problem fixed. I'm thankful for the groceries I ordered. They arrived right when I slotted them for. After my son and his friend left, I took the car for a drive over to another store so I could get the alternative food I was out of, and yes, I wanted something sweet. The gluten-free brownie always hits the spot. Okay, that's my day along with watching my shows while I packed. Soon I won't have room for any more boxes. How was your day?
