Not sure what's going on

I've been in a lot of pain since late yesterday. (Two NSAIDS have helped some this morning.)
I suspect it's from a new medicine Vacepa which I started ten days ago to help lower my Triglycerides.
It's a prescription drug that is basically a really strong Omega 3 fish oil.
I started hurting all over, just about every joint and most of my muscles hurt. Even the bottom of one foot, plus my ear and head. My hip is the worst part, but it was acting up before I started the new medicine.
Last night I could barely walk or even move without pain. Of course I haven't taken any more of the med and I never will.
To confuse things, I wonder if I have a UTI or a kidney stone lodged in my ureter again.
Who knows. If I get worse, I'll go to ER. I don't do well with some drugs, so I think I'll just try some OTC Omega 3 which aren't so strong and keep making life style changes. Like going to the gym and eating less carbs and fat. Ugg.

If this is from the medicine, I'll take over the counter Omega 3 and eat better and exercise.

You should call your doctor immediately when you have a severe reaction to a medication.

I called this morning and I'm waiting for a call back. He might test me for Covid, even though I've had both shots.

I did some research and saw there were meds similar to Vacepa and Lovaza. What kind of symptoms did you have? Do you have high Cholesterol? Mine aren't so bad, but my Triglycerides are over 750.

@NJChicaa Yeah, that can be awful. I haven't had that with Vacepa, but I'm pretty sure most of this pain is from it.

@1creekgirl My cholesterol was high even on Lipitor so the cardiologist added it. It just made me burp fish which was gross. I stopped refilling the prescription.

Pain isn't easy to tolerate, regardless of what's causing it. To get to the source of the problem, that's your main goal.
