Good evening from this side of the planet
It's 6:42 PM here as I write this post.
I was away from cyberspace after my lunch as I got busy with my younger daughter helping her with her English project. We spent some good two hours going through Nouns, Pronouns and Verbs. She has to do an artistic project on Parts of speech and submit it by second week of August.
We studied it together and we did few practice worksheets from few books that I have in my collection to teach my students. It's now a pleasure to teach her. I see a tremendous improvement there. Though she still struggles with her dyslexia and comprehension when it comes to written words in a long complex sentences. It's heartening to see her efforts in coming a long way. I never had to take care of my elder one's academics. She was pretty independent with that. But with my younger one she still needs a bit of hand holding. And I help her only when she asks for it. I am happy that she is getting confident and independent
and don't want to hover over her shoulders and bring down her confidence. Now, she wants to do these three parts of speech on her own..I took a nap after her study session.
Now she has started with her project. Has made a rough sketch about how she wants to do it. And then she wanted to bake for a break. We had some pineapple in home and she used them to bake this cake... pineapple upside down juicy cake. The house smells so nice
. She has used pineapple and natural honey for sweetness and no sugar.
Maybe I can have a bite. My dinner is almost ready and soon we will have this cake for dessert.
You can see it in picture here.
Now, I will be here for few minutes reading and responding to your discussions

It looks tempting and the good thing is that it's healthy too. She used whole wheat flour instead of refined flour. And it's natural sweetner and not sugars.

That cake looks delicious. I can imagine the smell. Baking cakes spreads the aroma in the whole house. Did not know your daughter had learning issues.

@allknowing I am blessed to have her
There is a lot that I learn from her every day
, other than the crochet thing where she is actually my official and designated teacher.

The cake looks tempting. When it comes to having one with pineapple slices that's add to my excitement. Glad you're teaching your daughter. I remember my mother who was a teacher, she's my tutor at home but I remember she teaches me mostly in Math.
