Are we stepping backwards?

Good day to you all, So here I read that the CDC is “suggesting” that we wear masks again. I find it funny that we are going backwards on this yet again. Is there any solid proof that this helps at all? Funny thing is that most every type of mask that I have seen it says right on the box that it does not prevent viruses. They are made to prevent bacteria so how is this helping against the Corona Virus? In my opinion it is just another way to divide us. We have the race division and they played that up so well to divide us. We got the politics to divide us. We got the vaccine to divide us. How much more can we fall for from these people in power. Have you ever heard the saying “divide and conquer”? This vaccine thing is getting way out of hand if you ask me. They say we should get it yet people who have gotten the vaccine are still getting Covid. They are also having other side affects from it so why are people getting it? They have no long-term testing results from it so who knows what is going to happen to you in 10, 20, 30 years from now. Hell, they don’t have a lot of short-term testing to get info from and then again who am I to believe when it comes to the information?

And what about the children. That is a sad situation. Good thing I don't have kids these days. Yes, we are going backwards.

My kids are grown and can make their own choices what they want to do, so I dont have to worry about that either.

It's all about the money. I don't think it was ever about a virus. Those I know who've had it, got nothing more than a real bad flu. My husband works in food service. He's around people on a daily basis, and he's been tested twice for COVID because someone at work contracted it. Both tests came back negative. The "diagnostic" test for COVID is the same as the flu. The vaccine is still in the testing phase, and will be for another three- four years. It's not even close to being approved by the FDA, it's only "authorized for emergency use' Now, the vaccine isn't and was never designed to "prvent" COVID, only "lesson the negative affects" but that's what vaccines do. I don't know how this can be proven, since we don't have any trustworthy data. If people stop wearing masks, mask sales go down (because only a handful of people will willingly wear a mask in public). It's all just getting out of hand if you ask me.

Yes it is out of hand. I think there is a lot of over stating of numbers when if suits their need. Again I am a firm believer that this is just used and hyped up to divide us

I do not care to know how much the mask protects, I wear it, it protects me against the pollen, so it's enough for me. I hate the fact that many government are doing everything to divide people, vaccinated against unvaccinated, as we were two different sects ready to fight. It is disgusting. Yesterday our government tested many vaccinated people... 421 have been found contaminated. This vaccine matter is only a big money matter.

@Bensen32 I fully agree that this must be a personal decision. My husband cannot even be vaccinated for allergic reactions. He has been tested several time and he is perfectly healthy.

@LadyDuck Yeah, I agree that it is a personal choice and I wish more people would understand that yet the media and politicians want to paint those that are not getting it as some kind of evil. I dont think that is helping anyone.

Yes, it comes down to money and power that is all it is. Don't get me wrong, those that want to wear masks and get vaccinated I say let them but don't tell me I need to.

After the first two comments, there's little to add. Anyone now questioning mask effectiveness or untested vaccines, is made to be the villain. Now I hear "Your Papers Please" will make a comeback in future America. Create an enemy. It's in the playbook lol.

Sounds about right they might start that and then we will see an increase in people making false papers.

We've been bombarded with racial news that was geared to cause division. And political issues are a problem worldwide, unity is considered a thing of the past. All countries are in an uproar and angered because nobody has an answer to these dilemmas.

Idk I noticed most of the new virus surge is down south NY seems to be doing fine so far. Florida is getting hit pretty badly again. I got the vaccine to protect myself so if I did get the virus again I won't have bad symptoms and end up in the hospital. Everyone has their own opinions on if they want to be vaccinated or not but it definitely does help some.

I feel the long term I am more worried about with an untested vaccine and I hear a lot of people are getting issues of some sort just from getting it. But I am all for people getting it if they want to, then I will have more examples to look at and see what happened to them before I ever get it.

@rakski That kind of thing makes no sense to me. They are going to close in 6 days? why not right this minute if it is such a problem and then only for 14 days, all is going to be okay in 14 days. That I just can not understand.

Yeah. I've heard of that expression. But in reference, it's for the Delta variant. Still 1.5 million people wish not to get vaccinated, as more people are getting sick and dying everyday. Just for the breakthrough infections for those fully vaccinated, but not the virus in general. Trust science.

Funny..."Trust Science" any decent scientist will tell you always questions science and continue to test the theory. Continue to study it and the potential outcomes. People are still getting sick and some still die with the vaccine so I will continue not to get it like I have for over a year and a half and still not gotten it.

I am vaccinated. If I get the variant, it would be very hard as I have a low immunity. If the mask even keeps out one bad germ, I am going to wear it. Read up on plagues. I am currently watching a family member, who refused to be vaccinated, in ICU on a ventilator. He is only 40 years old and was in excellent health before he got sick with Covid. I will be wearing my mask.

Sounds good to me that you want to wear a mask, I certainly am not telling people they shouldn't wear one. If you want to wear it 24 hours a day go for it. It's not hurting me if you wear it. I think it's kind of fun those that believe it is helpful and want to wear it feel like I should wear one well if it is helping you then I dont need to wear one cause you are safe from me.
