Day 51
Numbers 11:1 And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.
2 And the people cried unto Moses; and when Moses prayed unto the LORD, the fire was quenched.
3 And he called the name of the place Taberah: because the fire of the LORD burnt among them. (KJV)
How often do you complain about your circumstances? Do you consider the consequences of your complaints?
Israel’s complaints displeased God. Since leaving Egypt, Israel did nothing but complain. No food, no water, being the biggest complaints. They didn’t consider how God led them from Egypt, how He brought them through the Red Sea, how He went before them on their journey, how they could see His presence among them every moment of the day or night. No, they complained, and God took action. He brought a fire amongst them and killed them. When He did, then the people went to Moses, and he prayed to God on behalf of Israel. God heard his prayer for the people and God stopped the fire. With the fire quenched, Moses named the place Taberah, which means a burning.
As Christians, many believe their lives will be without trouble. They fail to realize their greatest enemy is Satan because he lost a soul to Jesus Christ. Satan will do everything he can to bring trouble to Christians. Yet, what do you do when you see trouble? You blame God. God isn’t the one who brought trouble into your life. He doesn’t deserve your complaints and criticism.
James 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempts he any man:
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.
16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
When trouble comes your way, consider the source of your trouble and rebuke Satan, not God, for your trouble. When you blame God, He will bring consequences your way to show you the error of your ways.
Hebrews 12:4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaks unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
6 For whom the Lord loves he chastens, and scourges every son whom he receives.
7 If ye endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chastens not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye illegitimate, and not sons.
9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
11 Now no chastening for the present seems to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
Consider your trouble, rebuke Satan, and praise God. He only brings good into your life to bring you closer to Him.
Let’s pray: Father, put a guard on my mouth when trouble comes my way. Let me accuse Satan and not blame You. Show me Your hand of blessing on my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Thanks for the study, Whenever we feel scared in life we always have the option to hold God's hand and move towards the safety
