What do you do when your computer freezes?

I have used computers since my graduate school days. But I am NOT a "computer guy." I use computers for on-line research, data analysis, writing, communication with others, listening to music without leaving my desk, etc.
Sometimes my computer simply freezes. If I can, I delete my cookies and then move on. If that doesn't work, I do a warm reboot. If that doesn't work, I do a cold reboot. I usually get my computer back.
When my computer freezes, I do wonder why. Have I hit a "bad sector," whatever that is? Have I visited too many naked lady and Republican websites?
Do you know why computers just freeze sometimes? What is your protocol when your computer freezes? As you can see, excessive computer use has led to a bit of weight gain. But I am still not a computer guy.

Well, the problem is….Macs don’t have much of a freeze problem. The only time my computer freezes is if I leave it in the car in cold weather.
Nice selfie, by the way.

Is crying an acceptable option? lol. I usually just reboot and hope for the best!

What the heck is a warm reboot and a cold reboot? And is there a hot reboot?

You probably know more about computers than I do. I have no clue why.

I have been lucky my laptop had kept working, Only there are times when there is a glitch in the Internet connection and then I cannot do anything for about a few minutes and then it starts up again,

I shut it off and turn it back on. I don't know why it freezes up. The websites that you mentioned could be the answer. :-) I suggest you join Weight Watchers.
