Discussions with fewer responses.

Good afternoon from this side of the planet. it is 1:30 PM here. My daughters had their lunch and they joined back their online school. My husband and I are not feeling hungry and we might have it after an hour. Seems like we are ageingand do not have the same appetite as we used to have a few years back. A heavy breakfast is keeping us so full. It was so yummy that we had a bit extra. When I come to Mylot, I check for recent discussions and top-rated discussions. And I guess most of us do the same. I try to visit discussions with no responses and those from new users. It is my way of encouraging people to post. I wish there was something to check for discussions with fewer responses. I know many good posts get ignored if they are not in the most recent ones and the top-rated ones. What do other mylotters think about it? Have a good time. Enjoy mylotting

I first check the discussions of the people who respond to mine, and then go to recent discussions. It doesn't really matter to me if they have a lot of responses or not. If I find the post interesting enough to read and comment on, I would.

I also visit the discussion of people who respond regularly to me more than othersMylot works that way..you scratch my back and I will scratch yours But it would be good if we had some features like that. Some good posts receive fewer responses and then get buried.

@arunima25 Except that I don't mind if they don't scratch my back in return. Sometimes it leads to a longer and more interesting thread and that's where the fun is!

I sometimes look for discussions by people who have responded to me, or those posted by friends. Some of my previously active friends don't visit any more, though. And I don't habitually check discussions of my responders. I tend to do that if I think about it at the time, perhaps if they're a new member or they've commented something that makes me want to read more of their contributions.

No, this is not what I do. When I come to myLot the first thing I do is to clear the notifications. Those who replied to my posts or to my comments are a priority. Then I read the most recent discussions. To be honest, I never check the top rated or the hot, those posts already had enough comments.

@arunima25 I usually check the profile of my favorite myLotters. Sometimes those who write too many discussions end up in the Top or Hot list.

I do the same. But then I visit the top-rated discussions too. I know some of my favorite mylotters always get their post in top-rated discussions. If I have missed them in most recent discussion, I will definitely find them there.

@LadyDuck I thought that those who get likes and responses get in the top-rated discussions. I visit the profile of my favorite mylotters. And of those who respond regularly to my discussions. I check if I have missed any of their latest discussions and reply if I find that on their profile page.

I do not ENCOURAGE people. LOL. I would rather they do some window shopping and find folks that meet their fun levels. I have noticed that some people like @xander6464 barely get any responses even though they come up with witty posts and interact. May be many do not understand his humor, or it is of a different class where they might find themselves out of depth as I do.

@vandana7 Yes, I read posts from everyone and do respond when I think I can contribute something. But sometimes I fail to understand some. At least my reading makes them earn a bit.

I think it has to do with the time zone. I am here when hardly anyone is around. No one has the patience to check my profile. I am used to getting few responses. I move on.

I find this place active at all times. People like Anna respond to everyone and so when she posts one, she gets responses in abundance. Her latest one has 68 responses. I have seen her post getting more than 100 responses. My maximum has been 39 and I felt overwhelmed.

@arunima25 If you compare your own posts written at different times in the day you will see what I mean. Just check. The point you made about you scratch my back and I will yours is right. I am not here much and agree with this point of yours.

@allknowing I know. I am active here around the same time every day except for few exceptional days. And somedays my discussions reach top rated discussion in no time while on other days, it's just in single digits. And definitely the more active and interactive we are here, more interactions and responses we get.

@anil02 Survey sites are not working for me these days. I have not received any survey from YouGov in a long time and what I get from Rakuten is for 2 points. I find surveys boring. Which survey site are you talking about?

Yes, that happens. It takes some time for them to understand the site. Many leave the site as they come here with unrealistic expectations.

That is good. How did that happen? On another site Forum Coin, the posts that get the latest reply tops up and so others can notice. It does not happen that way here. I am happy that they got responses.

i already talked about this, but i don't think about it anymore. i try to respond to every discussion i got something to say about. plus, many people follow discussions of people they're following and maybe that's why some discussions don't get enough attention.

When I joined the site, I was caught up with follow and followers game. But soon I was out of it. I respond to every discussion that I feel I have something to contribute to. That helped me interact with more and more users here and get to know more of them. I think this tab would be a good feature. I woud like to check and respond to discussions with fewer responses. They might have got buried without much responses due to some or other reason.

@aureategloom I am on the same page. Many users here end a possibility of good interactions with their one-line comments and they repeat it for every discussion. That kills the joy. Some people are more into responding and less into posting their own discussions and some are vice versa.

@arunima25 i try to interact with everyone i see around here, but sometimes people give me such comments that make want to never respond to their discussion again haha or when i'm the only one responding to their discussions and never see them respond to mine ehhh i always say people have their own choice and preferences so if they don't want to respond - they don't have to. but still feels weird sometimes - it's like always being the first one to text someone and ask them to go out. also, sometimes when i see people in my notifications, but i never see their discussion around here, i go to their profile and check if there's something to respond to.

I do as you do. I'll make my way down the list from interesting discussions to discussions with no response. It would be good to see posts with fewer responses. Perhaps a similar system to some review sites where you filter from highest to lowest or something like that.

I feel that it would be a good feature to be added. We can visit it and add more responses to those interesting discussions that go ignored for some or other reason.

I usually go the "top discussion" then to the "recent activity" and check out the discussions there. Often I check the discussion with "no response". Yes there are good discussions which are ignored by the people.

They might not be ignored btu some posts get lost due to various reasons. It would be good to have that option so that they can get another chance to be seen b those who are willing to. I would like to respond to them if I find them worth it.
