Finally, in my country numbers are going down. The lockdown has been eased and it seems that everyone is happier. Still, with the coming of the new variant of the covid, the health authorities will offer a 3rd dose to some people. Among them are seniors and people with special chronic ailments. due to my age, I will be able to have a 3rd dose in 2 more weeks. Leticia had some minor health troubles and upon going to the hospital she was tested and they discovered that she han an asymptomatic covid. She has to stay at home, but she is feeling fine. The doctors told her that she had such a mild case because she had the 2 shots of the vaccine. I am absolutly sure that the vaccine helps. I don´t understand why some people won´t have it.

That is good to know that your nation is knocking down the cases of the virus. In Louisiana it is a slow climb upward.

@Deepizzaguy Leticia just got what is called an asymptomatic covid. She is in quarantine in her tiny house with many people living in it. She is 69 years old and has diabetes and high blood pressure among other things. I think that the vaccine has saved her.

The WHO asked to wait to give the 3rd shot to allow most countries to have at least one dose... many poor countries still are waiting to vaccinate their people.

In my country the 3rd shot will be given to the part of the population with more risk.

@LadyDuck We are also giving some doses to other South American countries. But doctors here say the the immunity goes down a little after a certain amount of time so they are giving a 3rd dose to the population in risk. Me and my friends all fall into that category.

@marguicha Switzerland has decided to wait to offer the vaccine to some poor countries. For the moment the Swiss Medic does not believe that a third shot is really needed.

Still waiting on my first dose. It seems like forever. A third dose is a good idea especially with the Delta and Lambda variants of CoVid-19.

@marguicha yes! Minimum health protocols should still be observed even if we're vaccinated already since there are some who haven't received their vaccines yet.

hmmm i thought the vaccine helps you to NOT have COVID, not to have mild case of it...
