Busy with abstract painting

Hi! Nice to meet a fellow homeschooling family here. Yes, we make the curriculum for all the subjects. But we are guided by the requirements of the department of education just to make sure that our child catches up when she goes to college.

@almostoveryou I have chronic fatigue which makes it hard for me to find the energy to do my writing. Also, my eye sight and shaky hands prevent me from doing the painting I used to do. I am part of the "Bookstagram" community on Instagram and see so many people making money off of making bookmarks with their cricut which is so easy but how many bookmarks does one person need? The same with book sleeves. You have to be able to sew but I see people with tons of book sleeves. How many of THOSE does one person need. I've seen people have boxes of them. Wish I could come up with some kind of creative outlet that would bring in money quicker than trying to get a book published.

@patgalca I know what you mean. I know how it feels to put all in your writing and to churn out so many words only to earn in pennies. Same w the small paper crafts I used to make. Hoping for better days!

I used to be a writer for magazines and websites until I had to give up because deadlines and chores can't seem to live together. So I turned to art which is something that I learned to enjoy as a child even before I got into writing. I try to keep the pace and hopefully create a body of work, mostly abstract. Not sure if there will be a career shift but I do have this dream of becoming a working artist by the time I'm 50. To achieve that, I will have to paint almost every day and attend workshops once in a while. I hope you get your writing groove back.
