August 8 - What I'm Thankful for Today

This is the day the Lord has made, and I will be glad and rejoice in it. Today has been good. A little different as it started out with rain, thunder, lightning, the whole show. It started before I went to bed last night. It was still raining when I got up at 2:30. It was quiet when I woke, but as soon as I went back to bed, the thunder and lightning started, so I knew it was time to get up. The rain flooded the parking lot when I got to church. It filled the whole ditch in front of the church. I wondered if we would have a church picnic. Not to worry. We had the picnic. The rain stopped by the time I left for church. It was down to a light sprinkle.
I'm thankful for the rain. We needed it. I don't know how much we got, but a lot. It was half an inch from last night alone.
I'm thankful for church this morning. We had a wonderful service with the associate pastor preaching because our pastor is in Cabo at a minister's retreat. I got lots of hugs at church and at the picnic. 
I'm thankful to two people whom I sold a copy of Thread of Evidence to loved the book. They told me they couldn't put it down. One of them borrowed it to another person. They both asked me when Vendetta is coming out. I'm also taking another book to church with me next week as another person wants to buy it. That makes me very happy.
I'm thankful I finished packing up the bathroom drawers and vanity cabinet this morning when I got up. I only have what I need in there until I move.
I'm thankful for the work I did on Vendetta this morning before church. It's going very well. I told those who asked, I will publish Vendetta in 9 days. It might be sooner, but that's the prognosis at this time.
I'm thankful for the nap I got when I got home. It was a power nap and just what I needed after all the food I ate at the picnic. No, I'm not stepping on the scale for at least a week. I pigged out and I know none of the food except the brownies I made is on my diet. I'm going to be extra good this week about the diet. Come to think of it, I need to step on the scale on Tuesday morning. I have a hospital appointment. I can only hope for good things before then.
I'm thankful I have one more person committed to helping me move. 31 days and counting until I get the keys.

Wow...you had a lovely Sunday. Glad that you sold a book...and seems to have enjoyed the Church picnic as well....
I watched the mass online, was lucky that there was no network interruptions and I could listen to it all the time.
And the rest of the Sunday just went idle.

I am glad you have so much to be grateful. I am grateful, that things are as well with me as they are. It was hard to read about you pigging out, I had to chuckle. So not you. Lol

@marlina Thank you. I didn't go to the Y this morning. My stomach was a bit upset with all the food I ate yesterday. It's good now. It should be a good day. My goal today is my bedroom and I might start in the office. I'll also be working on Vendetta.

I enjoyed my day working on my main source of income which is Branded Surveys which has some great incentives to be paid the same amount when I worked with both Survey Junkie and Branded Surveys.

I splurged. Big time. We'll see what happens. The last time I had a bit more than planned, a hunger day, I ended up losing weight instead of gaining it. We'll see what happens this time.
Yes, I am working hard on everything. I'm close to having the apartment packed up. Close to having Vendetta published, and working to get help to move. My head is spinning.

Sounds like things are going your way! Talked to my son's dad today, my ex husband for the first time in many years. Actually we texted. However, we are on the same page with son, so that was good to know. I thought he might ignore me, but he got back to me right away so I am thankful for that.

cute bunny. We have bunnies here. I saw one today. Sunday I went to the grocery store and I got my uncle's dvd/vcr combo working, but we can't find the remote to it. I fiddled with one remote (thinking it was the one he used for it) too much and no it won't work at all. I can use my dvd player when I get my remote from the trailer. Sunday night I had weird dreams (not bad just weird). Monday was an ok day. Today is another weird day.
