Buffy the Vampire Slayer Spin Off....Not a Spin Off???

I was just scrolling through Facebook one day and the words "Buffy the Vampire Slayer Spin-Off" caught my attention.
Of course I go and look at it because honestly they should just leave a great show alone. It was my favorite show when I was a kid and it still holds a special place in my heart.
This so called spin-off though, is not a series but a book trilogy.
The spin off book trilogy will focus on Willow's daughter, Frankie.
The first book is called In Every Generation and is written by Kendare Blake, author of the Three Dark Crowns young adult series.
The snippet that they gave us on the book shows us that Frankie is a sophomore at Sunnydale High and the environment is her passion. She's learning magic from her mom, Willow, on the only condition that she uses it to better the world.
Of course nothing is so simple in Sunnydale. A new girl comes around and trouble ensues. All the Slayers may be dead and the new Slayer must be activated.
Now, I don't know how much everyone knows about Buffy but in the end, all the Slayers were activated by a spell that Willow did while everyone fought the First.
They did admit that they weren't sure if the books were going to continue after the show or after the Dark Horse comics continuation of the show.
There's a lot of unanswered questions right now due to how the show ended and kind of continued. I guess we'll have to wait and see how it plays out.
Kiersten White did a small spin off of the show and it was really good. The series is called The Slayer series containing two books: Slayer and Chosen. They are young adult novels but worth the read.
There were also a slew of books that were made when the show was still being aired.
I would recommend them all. None of them disappointed me.
Buffy fans...what are you guys thinking right now?

@JordanLader I loved watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Even Angel. May have read some books here and there as well. I do not belong to any groups for this though.

@lovebuglena My best friend and I bonded over the show oh so long ago lol and we are still really into it. The groups aren't so bad and some of them get info before the general public. Not sure how but they do.
