Neighbor Shared More Watermelon

Another knock on the door today. My sweet neighbor shared watermelon and more tomatoes.
He said the tomatoes are almost gone. And he bought an extra watermelon at the farmer's market. He also had some fresh corn from the organic farm nearby.
So blessed with such good neighbors. I told him to stay out of the heat. And I did not share my overheating experience with him.
Watermelon is so good this time of year. We always had them growing up as well. And we would spit seeds at each other.

I am dying to have one such neighbor ..but no luck so far..

Hmm, that looks a little stringy, but hey, any watermelon is good watermelon to me!!!! If I had my way my walls would be painted red, with a green trim at the top, and black specks on the walls to make it look like a watermelon.

@CarolDM I know. I was joking. And I'm sure it was delicious. I cut my first watermelon last month when we got two free ones. I have one away. Is like to try a lemon drop melon and another type we have sometime before the season ends maybe.

Oh, wow! What a kind gesture from a generous neighbour. Was the watermelon sweet? I'm sure it was. That'nice blended with crushed ice, too.

we didn't get any this week - the farmers market only had a few and they looked, well picked over!
