August 11 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today was a good day. I survived the storm.
I'm thankful I paid attention to the weather report this morning and didn't go to the Y. Tomorrow skies are blue, the storms have passed. I'm going swimming.
I'm thankful I got my walk on the trail this morning, even with overflowing banks and downed trees. And the fact I was a feast for mosquitoes.
I'm thankful for the work I did on Vendetta this morning when I finished the notifications. Another five chapters finished. I'm doing five a day. It's going well.
I'm thankful the severe weather wasn't as bad as it could have been. Yes, there was a tornado within a half-hour of my home. I haven't heard about the damage yet. I hope there wasn't any. The tornado watch is in effect until 8 PM. I think the threat is over. I just looked at the forecast and the storm is leaving the state and is no longer a threat to the Green Bay area.

I am grateful for the nice rain that came in my area today as well as my chances of working on Branded Surveys and getting a Wal Mart gift card this afternoon.

I've been caught in one. I don't think I was scared. What scared me most was the spanking I got because I lost four jars of baby food on the way home from the store. She wasn't concerned about the fact I got caught in the tornado or that I took the longest safest way home, only that I lost four jars of baby food.

We had severe storm warning in Michigan, I'm not sure if it included our country. Jay would have said something. I'm thankful the Lord has blessed us with a good day, in spite of myself. We've had showers off and on, for two days now.

That's good that the weather wasn't as bad as it could have been...but still sounds scary. A half hour from your home is not too far!

Hope there was no damage. We had a good day here. Thankful the storm didnt drop another branch on my poor chicken wagon. But it did break another one

Glad to hear you're progressing on Vendetta, Best of luck to you with that, Thankful I can work in a cool room and do my writing in comfort, Thankful the kittens are progressing they polished off a whole plate of oatmeal and some ground meat today,
