What did you have for dinner last night?

I bought three small steaks at Safeway the other day and have been treating myself to steak and mashed potatoes over the past couple of days. Man does not live by frozen meals alone. My "default" is to poke holes in the steak, dump a bit of Worcestershire sauce on top, add a couple of garlic cloves and pepper, and broil it up. I go for rare but it usually winds up medium rare. The mashed potatoes are Idahoan packaged (freeze dried?), but they're really good, especially after I add a big dollop of butter. What did you have for dinner last night? How do you like your steak (assuming you eat steak)?

You're supposed to cook the whole lady, not just her fingers, Amelia... I thought I'd told you it's a waste to just cook the fingers.

@TheHorse Ladyfingers are okra. Don't you remember your girlfriend's hand I rescued from the soup you were making?

@TheHorse There is a reason I get mad at you. I am a Hindu, I would never cook that in my home. Bro is coming sometime next month...and aunty is not around. So kinda, if I have to cook, I better be prepared with a couple of things she prepares.

Let me see... we had rice and corned beef omelet (yes, this was dinner, not breakfast ), and some mushroom soup. I... don't think I've ever had steak. At least not the thick kind that I see on those youtube videos from other countries... So, I don't really know what is rare, medium rare, medium,... The closest to a steak that I've probably had is a pork chop. And when we cook that, it's always probably what you'd call well done. And I know from the videos I've seen that most people think "well done" is ruined. But whatever. That's the way we've always eaten it.

@TheHorse No. No problems besides eyes swelling up. If you could put out your forest fires, that would probably help. Pretty and I make up pickle juice for me to drink if I get charley horses.

I made frozen pizza from Trader Joe's and had that with a pickle on the side. It was Margarita pizza. I don't remember getting it before. Wasn't a huge fan of it. Their other pizzas are better. I've never poked holes in my steak before.

Lunch was Meals on Wheels. Didn't eat it because we were going out to eat after my doctor's appointment. Just posted an update if you're interested. I had rigatoni with a 5-cheese marinara and grilled chicken at the Olive Garden. We also had their salad and bread sticks.

I was in England last night... I think. There was a big clock in a tower and most people sort of spoke English, so I think it was England...so I had a German Chocolate Cake for dinner. It took 4 and a half hours to get there because Germany is so far away but it was good.

I love steak but I haven't been able to eat it in over a year. My digestive system is too messed up. My favorite is ribeye but I also like skirt and hanger steaks. I don't do instant mashed potatoes though.
