Friday night/date night

Our date nights aren't always on a Friday. Being retired means we can "date" any night or day we want.
Sometimes we go out to eat first, but today I cooked sausage, fried potatoes and carrots, a pot of dry great Northern beans, and biscuits with tomatoes. No, the tomatoes weren't WITH the biscuits, they were just part of the meal.
So, I have the wine chilling and some tiny white lights hung around while my husband finishes mowing the grass.
Sometimes our date is a fish fry at home. That can be fun, too.

It's great that you still have date nights. My husband has turned into a Mr. Grumpus; so we don't have date nights.

@1creekgirl As we're getting older, date nights sometimes get postponed until we're both well.

Oh wow ! I love all you mentioned. Especially the fried taters. I so love fried potatoes and used to fix them all the time until I got so disabled. Now I can't get anyone to take the time. Sounds like you made hubby the perfect night.
