Have you tried Sour Pork Soup?

Germany
August 14, 2021 5:58am CST
Hello Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all my dear mylotters I woke up in a good weather. Sunny and cool air. I had a great morning walk and a dancing exercise. Today, I will prepare a Sour Pork Soup or ``Pork Sinigang`` in the Philippines. This is just a simple and easy to make soup. I just fry the Pork and then prepare the soup by boiling onion, tomatoes, okra and Tamarind Powder. Sprinkle some salt. Then after the okra is cooked you can mix the pork and let it boil for 2 minutes and then put some water spinach if you like. We don`t have available water spinach so I just let it boil with limited vegetables. Some they add radish, string beans and aubergine. How about you my dear mylotters? Have you tried Sour Pork Soup? What are you having for today? I hope you can share it with me here Have a great day and Happy mylotting Photo: google

@m_audrey6788 Yes, when it's not very sour. That's why at home, I really modify the amount of the tamarind.

Since I don't do any of the cooking in our household, I haven't a clue. Hubby plays it by ear... whatever he is in the mood for... that's what we get. :)

I don't eat pork, even if it's farmed beef and mutton are more tempting, even if the pork will be made into roast pork or soup, we have different tastes but I'm happy if you like it, because the food we like can increase appetite Warm soup is suitable to be eaten in the rainy and transitional seasons like now, the soup seems to have magical energy to warm a cold stomach

Seeing the title I thought: Hmm... Sour pork soup? Is this sinigang? Turns out it is! I love sinigang. But my mother does it differently in that she doesn't fry the pork beforehand. I'll eat it however way it's prepared.
