just a Sunday

Tomorrow I go back to work, and I don't feel rested after the weekend. I've done laundry, a bit of meal prepping, more school (this time for shoes) and birthday shopping, and brushed children's hair. I still need to take a shower and prepare tonight's dinner, and my bedroom is still a disaster. I'm feeling pretty behind and exhausted, but maybe I'll be able to get a little caught up on Wednesday while I'm off and the kids are in school. Picture is unrelated to the post, but I've noticed that posts with pictures tend to get a little more attention than those without. This is my current favorite coffee mug.

It is, and it doesn't feel like I rested at all.

It is frustrating too because the weekend is our time. Weekdays we have to work to make money to live. Weekends we should at least take some time to do a bit of living too.

@41CombedaleRoad I guess technically I'm doing a bit of living with the kids on the weekends, but... they're work too.

@RasmaSandra they could produce a story written as a dream with so much variety to put into the plot.

That mug has a lot going on in the design! A giant frog, a pterodactyl or two, Bigfoot, a pirate ship...

I thought the same about posts with pics. I should work on it. I understand that you are tired after your weekend. Sunday is supposed to be a day of rest. There is good reason for this because the Designer knows what is best for us both physically and mentally. We should do our best to rest on Sundays. Ideally to play on Saturdays. But two days off is probably not practical for a working mother. Perhaps if you work on little rests between jobs that would help a little.

@spiderdust Why does that effect your life so much? do you have to go to lots of parties? Make Wednesday a special one for yourself, not to do big things that take a great deal of time, but something to please yourself. Perhaps a little job that has been irritating you could be fixed quickly and you would have the pleasure of getting it out of your mind.

@41CombedaleRoad No, it's the children in the house that have the birthdays! Since we're still supposed to be socially distancing in our county, we can't really do parties. Instead, I'm trying to make the day special for the birthday child.

I do have an additional day of during the week right now (Wednesdays), but I realized earlier that this Wednesday is not a rest day for me -- it's someone's birthday. Birthday season has arrived in our house! There's at least 2 birthdays or major holidays per month for the next 3 months.

I love the looks of this cup. It is always a mad rush to get ready for the start of school. I think you might be right, a picture seems to draw people to a post.

Me too. I should also take my vitamins today. Maybe that will help.

@spiderdust A doctor recommended folic acid for me. That worked, at least I think it did as I noticed a rise in energy level.
