Have you been falsely reported for not paying a bill after delivering it?

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all my dear mylotters
Today, I was not able to post an early discussion. I feel sad for my dear friend. She called me early and told me about her problem with a Pizza delivery man who claimed that she did not pay for the pizza. I asked her did you asked for a billing receipt as proof that you paid it. She said that she forgot to asked for it and trusted the delivery man that he will report it to his boss but the boss called her husband the next day saying that no money has returned. The delivery man denied that he got the money 
The husband believed her but he don`t like to make it big when the amount is 23 dollars. She can`t believe that something like that can happen. I told her that next time never pay without receipt. Her husband paid for it again because of lack of proof

@cool83 I`m not sure about that thing. There is something wrong with their system too because my friend told me that this delivery man told the boss that he thought that the food was already paid online that he did not bother to ask for cash payment and left the food to her My friend is really speechless and so sad that she just wish that the owner will find it out soon before his business will suffer

@m_audrey6788 but the thing is that delivery man should provide the bill , But the obvious thing is that the if the payment done only deliver the food , don`t you think like that ?

Yes. It was really terrible and she felt so sad for the delivery man. He will have his time.
I`m wondering too why they did not give her the receipt too. I guess, he really have the bad intention from the start. Thank you

I have not and guess reason why person would be fired pretty quick here. That's about the only good thing corporate America does right here.

It hasn't happened to me. If I order food I pay online before the food is delivered. I am sorry your friend experienced that. Without a receipt it is hard to prove that she paid.

You have a point there. I also questioned my friend about it. She said that the delivery man told the boss that he thought that they paid online as they always do. He was not aware that they will pay cash My friend felt so sorry for the delivery man for lying that much Thank you

Why did the delivery person hand over the pizza without being paid?
I wouldn't pay twice. I would have told that manager to ask his delivery person why he delivered food without receiving payment.
I keep accurate records of all debits and credits here. I'll sometimes pay with cash for deliveries and not ask for a receipt.
The proof of payment is the delivery person giving me my order.

You have a point there. I`m also wondering why the husband just paid for it again. She told me that the delivery man told his boss that they usually order and pay online. That he thought that he will not collect any payment from the customer but the husband told the boss it was clearly in the computer that it is cash on delivery. Thank you
