Grateful for the Little Things

Hello. I come to you to share some news that has delighted me. As some of you may know, I am a writer. I've mainly been writing articles for Vocal Media. Today, I checked my stats to see that I have my very first subscriber. Vocal only recently added the option to subscribe to writers. It's quite possible that I will never have another subscriber, but I'm very happy to have this one. I took a day off work on Monday, which I used to complete the most recent article on there. The article was initially rejected on the grounds that it had religious content. It was an article about saints that I'd submitted to their 'religion' section. Once I pointed this out, and that I'd had three similar articles (because this is a series) published in the same place, it was re-reviewed and published. I'm not sure if my subscriber chose to subscribe because of that or if it was simply co-incidence that it happened a day or two after. On Monday, I was pleased to have finally finished an article. I'd been struggling to get anything completed, trying to find odd pockets of time here and there to add a bit or do some research. I still have several drafts underway both for Vocal and on my own blog. Some are no longer relevant, but I might get around to finishing others. Writing makes me happy, but completing makes me happier and brings that feeling of accomplishment (even if it's something small or seemingly insignificant). What little thing has made you happy?
